We have old school tuna noodle casserole probably once a year and it really hits the spot. Just like mom used to make 🥹 |
Right?! It was warm, cheesy, comforting goodness! |
+1000 And mac n cheese. |
I’ve actually never had Popeyes. . . |
Have you tried the miso garlic? Is that good or no? Times are tough and I don’t want to spend $15 on it if it’s as bad as that crab thing they had was |
You are missing out! |
Mother of all things holy! That said, my kid has never had Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Burger King, sonic, KFC or any other of the fast food places that I don’t like. |
| Skip the drive through and go straight to a carton of icecream, no bowl. |
If you are seeking comflrt fold, you will be dksappointed with Honey Grow. I like the place, bjt it is one of those places you eat when you need fast food and want to pretend that you are being healthy. Don't listen to the poster trying to shame you for wanting comfort food or junk food. |
PP is right. |
Same. I'd probably take them to try a sonic (tater tots!) but there's not one nearby. Same with DQ. That said, now that I'm firmly out of ever eating fast food or bad food if I can help it and they are teens, they've been to places I've never been, like Red Robin. Unos spinoccoli was definitely a comfort food but I don't even know if there are Unos any more... |
| 5 guys for main course. Taco Bell for dessert |
And by dessert I mean 10 of those crunchy beef tacos |
| Roamin Rooster is my go-to comfort food. Hope you have a better week next week, OP. |
|
OP, I hope you’re feeling better! Reading this has me thinking about my comfort food list:
-Wegman’s sushi — there’s one with shrimp and another one with crabmeat that really are both comforting and energizing. - Another vote for Popeye’s chicken. Dark meat with fries. - Chicken pot pie. (Once a decade) - Popovers with good butter, strawberry butter, or creamed chicken with mushrooms -Shrimp salad -Really good New England clam chowder - Homemade butter popcorn with seasonings - Homemade gingerbread with raisins |
