Easy there pal, don’t you know you can offset losing to those teams by suggesting you did well in unknown scrimmages? Precisely what’s wrong. Team loses to 3 teams placed above it no less than 8 months ago (pretty handily), another in the top bracket a month ago (handily again) and their coach comes on to piss and moan because angry parents think their girls are being screwed. Team went 1-5 against the level you claim they should be at in the last two big local tournaments, you’re right where you should be. And that’s ok! It’s ok to just be placed appropriately instead of being cannon fodder to make yourself and the parents feel better. Good grief… |
100% Alexandria should be in the top flight. They would win. |
According to coach and parents! |
SYC GA scrimmages now? Good that those coaches aren’t hiding anymore. |
Facts is facts |
Jeff Cup. lol. Remember 5 years ago it was THE tournament. Wow, ECNL is a dumpster fire. |
Did Jefferson cup fall off? |
I'm not as familiar with the hs ages, but for the younger kids you have 951 teams over two weekends including some top teams from all over the country. I'd say it's doing just fine. |
Yes, I was quite impressed by the representation as always. People are probably hating whose team didnt get in. This continues to be a high level tourney. Hopefully the fields are quality. |
Does ECNL run Jefferson cup? |
No. It was a Richmond Strikers, now Richmond United tournament. It always has been a huge event. Parents of my DDs teammates remember playing in the tournament. I think that it may have dipped a bit during COVID, much like everything else. They held the younger boys weekend that year (2020) and then everything else got canceled. My DD's team, now U17, has played in it every year since U10 and it's always a good event and a chance to play some teams that you normally wouldn't see - ECNL v. GA, etc. |
