| Sorry to those of you who got disappointing news. My legacy kid was rejected last year and it was such a bummer. |
| Sooo...how did the area Catholic schools fare? |
| Anyone know how many deferred applicants get admitted? It seems like an awful lot are getting deferred on social media. |
| Holy Cross would be excellent choice for kids deferred from ND. |
And Georgetown, no? |
I’m pretty sure in the past it’s ballpark 15% admitted, 15% deferred and 70% rejected in REA. |
| Yes, I think it was 13% admit / 13% defer last year… RD was 7%, with an overall 9% acceptance rate. |
| Deferred |
Did she get accepted?? |
I’m a different poster who was nervous as DD’s local Catholic school told her she’d get in…but they were right! Go Irish! |
No. If they want a Catholic school like ND, Georgetown is not a good plan B because they aren't Catholic any more. |
Yay congrats to your daughter ! |
Georgetown is still Catholic but perhaps doesn’t host enough save the fetus rallies for PP’s taste. |
So far, I know of 2 acceptances and a deferral from DC's HS. DC was denied. I'm thinking DC should have applied test optional instead. Had great ECs reflecting a ton of community service with homeless and disabled and school leadership. Great essays discussing service and faith. Catholic schools K-12.
Congrats to those admitted! And deferred -- there's still hope! |
And to the comment above, I also know of 2 Dartmouth acceptances. |
