Those are great scores. If you feel comfortable sharing, what was the composite? I'm wondering how high the raw scores trail upward.

158. The documentation says that the individual scores go up to 160 (normed to mean 100, sd 15, so it’s easy to compute percentiles), but the composite goes up to 175 and I can’t find info on the sd for that.

I normally goggle for percentiles and info on the test.

Did that and found very little. Did you have more luck?

I just searched my child composite score and NGAT, found great information. I used both chatGPT and Grok. Google itself didn’t help much.

Just so you know, that's not "information." That's LLMs hallucinating stuff based on similar information that's out there about other similar tests, like the NNAT. Please don't trust it.

Sorry I’m skeptical too. There is a reason Google didn’t help much and it’s that there isn’t that much information out there.. pay attention to bait and switch from ngat to nnat

Has anyone gotten the in pool notification?

Did the county not send this form?

Kind of crazy how little info there is online. That might be why FCPS choose it, harder to prep so they are hoping for results that are more realistic then under the CoGAT and NNAT. Give it a few years and people will figure out how to prep for it.

It shows a sample report (more informative than the FCPS version that we just got). I think it implies that the "Total score" (composite) also maps to a same-shaped distribution (with mean 100 and sd 15).
In other words, Total Score 130 (mean+ 2sd ) ~ 97..h percentile and 135 (mean+ 2.33*sd) ~ 99th percentile.

Anyone know how that is historically sent?

Good find. Thank you for passing this along.

An email is sent to the enrolling parent. Usually Friday at 5pm. It's rolling because there are too many to send at once.

Is the NNAT from last year even considered as part of this? No one ever gave that info. And I hope so because my kid did way better on that!

So disappointed in these test results. I don’t know why they couldn’t just stick with Cogat when it was working perfectly fine.

It's not harder to prep at all. It's very much like COGAT and prepping programs for it are widely available.
