Along these lines +1 People are emotional not logical beings. It explains about 100000 things in life from marketing, fads, everything. So the logic is that there was so much anger and hurt in this country just simmering among a lot if the folks ultimately MAGA - they continue to stand by Trump not because he does no wrong but because they hinged all their hopes on him and are totally invested. They don't want to see what they don't want to see in a manner of speaking. People are wired to see their investments through ie gambling and addiction. |
How does not spending that help them? The money isn’t going to them instead. It’s also not lowering their taxes unless they’re in the top 1%. |
Sounds like a lot of loose cannons waiting to happen. |
Not really waiting to happen. They've been "exploding" on us all in various ways for a long time, especially since Obama was elected. Trump is them trying to punish us all for challenging the status quo they found more comfortable. I mean, these are the people that lose their shit over someone telling them happy holidays in an attempt to accommodate other religious practices, and MAGA literally takes offense at that. They seemingly don't have the capacity to cope with change or any amount of inconvenience, especially if they are being inconvenienced by people they believe themselves to be above. |
Sex offenders who hung out with Epstein ogling teenage girls are so much more suitable to MAGA. |
well, I guess that's worth gutting SNAP and billions in infrastructure investment in WVA. Is this MAGA logic? Explains a lot. |

Do you want a real answer? People vote on much more than discrete policy issues. People vote based on identity, political ideology, and of course values. This is true of voters across the political spectrum and it is actually a good thing that voters aren’t so easily bought. In West Virginia’s case it has historically bounced between the parties in presidential elections, which is more than can be said of some states/regions. Additionally, if you actually think Biden’s policies would have “revived dead communities,” you need your head checked. Ingrained poverty and social issues don’t have simple solutions, whether in rural WV or DC, so it was never really a choice between a somehow revived West Virginia and the status quo. |
Why do people lie? Why are people so averse to researching things/candidates/policies before they post. https://bidenwhitehouse.archives.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/West-Virginia-Health-Care.pdf |
Do you even know what Climate Justice is? It helps people in red states too, especially West Virginia where communities have been devastated by poisoned water and air. I am sure you equate it with Black and Brown people marching but it helps people of all colors. |
PP, you are not posting on a forum of uneducated FOX viewers who accept your lies as truth. First, WV does not bounce between parties in presidential elections. WV has not voted Democrat since 1996, and that was barely. Second, those Biden jobs would have definitely revived a dead community and provided decent, well-paying jobs. Just because someone is born in poverty does not mean given the opportunity, they cannot climb out of poverty. People like you just wash your hands of them. Biden was hoping to give them a hand up. |
| True. |
That spending goes into: -mitigating the dirty water and posioned soil in west virginia -training for "green" jobs in west virginia -mitigating the impact of floods in west virginia I could go on, but I guess west virginians would rather just live in a distopian hellscape where their ecology is destroyed and not to be repaired and where job prospects are few and far between. |
| There are people who will gladly forego heaven if it means they can send those they hate to hell. These are Trump supporters. |
I take it you did not read the article. The person in the article was very excited about the infrastructure funding from Biden. They felt it could revive their community. Trump has pulled that dream. Not understanding how they could still support him. Who are they exactly blaming for the funding being taken away? |
