Wednesday pre-Thanksgiving grocery store shopping

There are things best shopped for Wednesday so that they're fresh, even if you do a ton of shopping ahead (which I do).

I typically agree but my kids suprised us and made breakfast, using ingredients I had already purchased for Thursday.. so... off with the amateurs I was.

Went this morning. No crowds. Did see a lot of men who had never grocery shopped desperately trying to make sense of a last minute grocery request. One poor guy couldn't figure out which kind of sweet potato he was sent to get. Also saw a group of young adults trying to figure out how to execute the dish they were assigned -- the way they couldn't remember all the ingredients signaled trouble ahead.

+1. Typically I do the big shops the week before Thanksgiving at 2 different grocery stores, but I always go to the grocery store at 7am the day before Thanksgiving for a few fresh items.
