Did Vance throw his Hindu under the bus for not being a born again Christian today?

You think evangelicals are “real Christians? Joking, right?

Evangelicals showed up on the Christianity timeline with their weirdo views like 10 minutes ago …

Catholicism is the only real Christianity. Everything else is performative resistance to that fact.

Calm down now, even the worst Bishop wouldn't be that rude about other faiths.

I refuse to believe there are 10,000 people that would show up anywhere for this dork and that phony widow. Is every local church goer and college kid paid $50 and free lunch to attend? The levels of astroturfing are so over the top.

You're deeply isolated from political reality then. The anti-immigration message delivered by Vance and the Trump team is HUGELY popular among average voters especially Gen Z. Like, I'm surprised you don't have any idea how thirsty people are for anti-immigration politics. It's the ONLY topic that can draw a crowd of 10K or 20K or 50K these days.

It’s going to just continue to get more intense. In 2028 I imagine the economy is going to continue to be sour with a lot of joblessness. This will be ultimately blamed on immigrants. The ICE X account has tweeted out “remigrate” which is a white nationalist dog whistle for immigrants, both legal and illegal, to go back where they came from. I don’t think they are going to stop at the undocumented and asylum seekers, they are going to keep going.

It's not about "blaming" immigrants. It's about the fundamental absurdity of letting in more immigrants when unemployment rate is high. When labor is in excess, adding more labor to the labor pool just makes zero sense. It's not even a white nationalism thing-- since the economy will likely remain sour through 2028 as you say, we're gonna see Hispanic and Black Americans be totally on the same page with the agenda of not destroying their own employment prospects with mass immigration, even if they oppose every other idea of Trump's.

Theoretically, perhaps. In the real world, unemployment over the last 20 years had a record low of 3.5% and a record high during COVID of 14.8%. But COVID was the only time it surpassed 10%. It was 4.1% at the end of Biden administration, and is 4.3% now (and climbing). So what absurdity are you pointing to in reality -- or are you just having a theoretical conversation?

Also unemployment is not 1:1 job to person. There can be openings that currently unemployed people are not qualified to fill, and there can be jobs that won't ever be filled by people whose qualification are for other kinds of jobs. Obviously not everyone is suited for every job, whether it's physically, intellectually, or skills/education/training/temperment/soft skills/etc.

There's nothing "theoretical" about it. Talk to some young people some time--the job market for new grads is incredibly dismal right now, and the problems will only snowball to affect more and more of the workforce as AI and automation make more workers literally obsolete. Unemployment and underemployment will be a major politically destabilizing force over the next few years.

They are ok with Opis Dei Supreme Court Catholic types, although the ivory tower Catholics rarely descend to attend a Mississippi revival type rally.

Catholics get no respect from Southern Baptist, Presbyterians, and Methodists. He may as well be Hindu to them.

What are you smoking? The unemployment rate is not high. It has been and is at what is considered a historic low.

Oh, come on. Don't lump the United Methodist Church in with Southern Baptists.
-A Methodist who grew up surrounded by Southern Baptists. We are NOT the same.

Possibly so, but the Republicans will have been in power for the last 8 of 12 years.

Please don't be fooled in thinking that 10,000 is a large number for free biggish events. They have several thousand show up for the local hicktown high school football games every weekend in Oxford, MS.

These days, a lot of comedians, who most people have never heard of, are selling out nfl and mlb stadiums, and nba arenas. TPUSA picks small venues at favorable locations for a reason: to create the false sense that they're standing room only at these small venues.

Even the venue capacities at the upcoming Auburn (9,100) and UCB (2,000) events are pretty bad.

It's actually embarrassing that someone (i.e., Charlie Kirk) that people claim was so popular, was unable to fill up even a small courtyard at UVU when he was shot. This, especially considering that BYU/Provo and UofU/SLC are not that far away. Plus there didn't seem to be too many of those millions of high school kids looking to see their hero there, either.

I'm pretty sure, based on the online outrage, that TPUSA's popularity is centered around the 40+ yo wypipo crowd. For evidence, look at the list of characters on the TPUSA College Tour list of guests and "prove me wrong" that even the most ardent brainwashed 15-25 yo kid won't tentpole for any of them.

Erika is an old school seasoned pageant hoe. She is absolutely messing with JD and daring Usha to do something about it. Everyone in Usha's circle has cut her off besides some hangers-on from her childhood. Media outlets have shunned her to the point where the only place she could get an interview was on Megan McCain's flop YouTube channel. JD knows this too, which is why he makes slick disrespectful comments in public to keep her in her place. Usha still has the power to ruin him if she leaves, but I think she's just going to let him cheat in peace and rage on the internet like she's been doing all year...

Funny thing is that it was hugely popular 100 years ago too. In the 1920s, My grandmother had anti immigrant klanman outside her place of employment telling her no Irish should have her job. Ami immigrant vitriol is like Americans perennial weed.
