Did Vance throw his Hindu under the bus for not being a born again Christian today?

That pic of her with her hands in his hair is so revolting! But, yes, since someone posted that I can see it happening.

The crazy thing is that, has anyone in either camp vehemently denied this, and immediately? I'm sure that the gossip has gotten around already and the prudent thing would be to say how stupid the rumors are.

When was the last time two people, that supposedly don't hang out together very much, greeted each other like this in a formal setting?

Weird that Vance didn't tell his Protestant heretic audience the he'd wish they see the light and turn to Catholicism.

I refuse to believe there are 10,000 people that would show up anywhere for this dork and that phony widow. Is every local church goer and college kid paid $50 and free lunch to attend? The levels of astroturfing are so over the top.

You are ridiculously out of touch. Get out of your bubble and go talk to some people that you might disagree with.

This is stupid. Do you know how many Catholics and Jews, among other interfaith families, are married to each other in the northeast?

Yes that's fine if you're a normal level of religious, it can be a personal thing. DH is an atheist and I believe in my religion.

But if you're the kind of fundamentalist that JD pretends to be? Yeah that's weird re spouse. Probably when he met Usha he didn't care a bit.

Because he’s a Protestant heretic himself. He said in his book he converted to Evangelical Christianity. Then went to law school and saw that all the prominent conservative lawyers are catholic and converted to Catholicism.

The one with her hand in his hair is worse! It's on the CK thread.

Is this before, after, or during the time he convinced himself he was gay?

You're deeply isolated from political reality then. The anti-immigration message delivered by Vance and the Trump team is HUGELY popular among average voters especially Gen Z. Like, I'm surprised you don't have any idea how thirsty people are for anti-immigration politics. It's the ONLY topic that can draw a crowd of 10K or 20K or 50K these days.

You think evangelicals are “real Christians? Joking, right?

Evangelicals showed up on the Christianity timeline with their weirdo views like 10 minutes ago …

Catholicism is the only real Christianity. Everything else is performative resistance to that fact.

It’s going to just continue to get more intense. In 2028 I imagine the economy is going to continue to be sour with a lot of joblessness. This will be ultimately blamed on immigrants. The ICE X account has tweeted out “remigrate” which is a white nationalist dog whistle for immigrants, both legal and illegal, to go back where they came from. I don’t think they are going to stop at the undocumented and asylum seekers, they are going to keep going.

It's not about "blaming" immigrants. It's about the fundamental absurdity of letting in more immigrants when unemployment rate is high. When labor is in excess, adding more labor to the labor pool just makes zero sense. It's not even a white nationalism thing-- since the economy will likely remain sour through 2028 as you say, we're gonna see Hispanic and Black Americans be totally on the same page with the agenda of not destroying their own employment prospects with mass immigration, even if they oppose every other idea of Trump's.
