Sometimes it really is the system. Children's National schedules ENT follow ups for ten minutes. Let me tell you, that's barely enough time to make sure ear tubes are in place in a toddler. It's not enough time to discuss imaging reports and decide whether or not to have surgery. So of course by the afternoon they're running way behind!
It can help to get the first appointment of the day so they simply don't have time to be that far behind. |
Sorry, the bolded statement is complete BS. There aren’t enough doctors and the majority of those we do have treat their patients like cattle. i.e. they don’t give a single F about you or your time. |
Do your lawyers and accountants run it through insurance at an “agreed” upon price? This is a dumb comparison. It is the insurance companies!! |
+1 haha |
| I don't close my doors anymore bc this has happened so often. I will start asking too. |
Insurance companies mandate as many patients as possible per day. I thought this was common knowledge by now. |
They’re not making much more money off a patient they stay with for 30+ minutes. |
Because doctors are dealing with life and death issues? Unclear how you don’t see that’s different from accountants. |
Many of them do care and that’s why they go concierge—to spend more time on each patient. But of course it’s frustrating if you can’t/won’t pay the concierge fees. |
| I would send a bill to the doc’s office. Time is money for everyone. |
LOL |
My gynecologist in Oakton pulled this numerous times. The time she let me wait for two hours I voted with my feet and found a MUCH better one who honors her appointments and my time. |
Aww, you’re precious. Wrong, but precious. |
JFC 🙄 |
