Eleanor Holmes Norton reported to have dementia

Another reason why we need term limits.

Is it normal for DC cops to obtain advanced medical training so they can diagnose early dementia in victims?

Also, most people in big jobs have someone who manages their affairs. For many DC law firm partners, this person is called a “stay at home wife”.

Since when are police officers making medical diagnoses and putting them in reports? Or is this just some more crappy journalism? Neither is okay.

This is great journalism actually - exposing something that’s being covered up. Likely the officer did not make the diagnosis.

It was a DUCT CLEANING SCAM. They prey on the dementia elderly and "nesting" pregnant mothers.

You do not need to clean your ducts!

SUPER! Look it's a 12 year old.
I’ve fostered dogs and cats for a decade, keep my windows open probably 4 months a year, have nothing but wood and tile floors, have a fireplace/wood stove and I can tell you, my duct work is absolutely filthy. I know this from having to remove a section of it during some remodeling work. It is absolutely filthy inside despite new HVAC filters on the first day of every month, without fail.

Trust me - your ducts are probably filthy too.

Is cleaning super necessary? Probably not, unless there’s mold problems from moisture. But duct work is typically covered with dust and dirt inside.

Don’t take my word for it though, see for yourself. Take a vent cover off, stick your arm down inside the duct, and rub your hand on the inside. Then look at your hand.

Its an easy out for her team, almost like a false flag.

It does not work like that at all. It costs money to run for office and a dedicated team to help you get the name recognition, the media coverage and other things to get elected. If the democratic party says Norton is their person, all their money and support goes to her. You can run as an independent, but it's an uphill battle, especially since many people simply check the "Democrat" or "Republican" candidate.

The police didn't make a medical diagnosis. They made an observation on her state of mind. Have you ever met anyone with dementia - you quickly know something is going on.

I have not voted for her in last few elections because its been obvious she is no longer up to the task. I'm kind of disappointed that several real candidates are running against her this year. There is a serious risk they will split the vote against her and enough uninformed voters who are just condition to vote her will and she will be reelected.

Rank-choice voting has been funded and is supposed to be in place for the 2026 election. Unless Eleanor Holmes secures 50% in the first round (don't count that out...let's hope not), then you winnow away the candidates receiving the least votes. Let's hope it works to get her out if her name is on the ballot.

Really? I’ll bet these cops voted for Trump, who is the most obvious case of dementia that I’ve ever seen.
