“ I guess they won’t need to ask the robots to pee in a bottle to save time on breaks.”
Well that’s great people don’t have to that anymore isn’t it? They can now all learn finance or accounting or law or coding and get normal jobs |
I am not worried, they can’t do it without UBI, not if they want to avoid major turmoil. |
How dare you say full stop |

600,000 jobs by 2033. This is a nothing burger in itself. However Amazon will be laying off way more after 2026 elections Project 2025 told you fools that. |
Oh UBI is basically a guaranteed thing in the future as tech takes over. Elon Musk has been promoting UBI for over a decade now as he see's the future of tech and knows the reality of the situation. |
https://www.fool.com/investing/2024/01/10/amazon-e-commerce-company-74-profit-this-instead/?utm_source=chatgpt.com Amazon makes 16% of its revenue from AWS, but 70% of its profits from AWS. |

What's the issue? These are jobs picking items from warehouse shelves and packing them into boxes. Hardly desirable jobs, and no one's making it into a career.
Did you also object to how automatic elevators killed off jobs in the elevator operator industry? How about self-service gas pumps taking the jobs of gas station attendants? Or automated parking ticketing in garages taking the place of parking garage attendants? |
| Or EZPass taking the jobs away from toll booth workers? |
This. The billionaires are more interested in ballrooms that offering anything beneficial to society at large. They'll let people die on the street before building a hospital, they'll let the next generation lose access to school before funding educational programs and universities, they'll find no value for humanity and the ability to dream and invent so they'll defund museums and turn them into hotels and mega mansions. |
So how do we fund UBI if taxes are supposed to be lowered/eliminated? Will some states with resources offer it while others don't because they can't? Will certain states have to cap their population and limit "immigration" to avoid UBI shortfalls? Will they billionaires become trilionaires and some of us live in the "Musk district," the "Bezos district," or the "Zuckerberg district," and who knows with his crypto ventures and MAGA devotion, a "Trump district" where you're a glorified serf? Is that where we're headed? |

I won't be able to afford to buy things from Amazon with so few jobs and a bad economy...
I wonder how many others will be in the same boat. I've already cut way back. Hope they enjoy their robots. |
| An unemployed underclass with no hope for their future. Yea, that’s going to end well. |
If we can’t get healthcare subsidies, we’re never getting UBI. |
Guess we will see what happens with the Utah measles outbreak...or the next virus, etc. |
If Bezos can keep the Washington Post running with all of his billions, he is certainly not going to have Amazon go out of business--especially since the majority of the revenue comes from AWS and not retail. So, needing to fire 500,000 people is not necessary and just means more billions for Bezos. |
