How to access Lightspeed Parent Portal?

You can block YouTube on school computers in the digital consent page. You can opt-out of any of these ed tech choices. More parents need to opt out abd insist that FCPS uses better technology controls and has more intentional use of technology in the classroom.

Kids are learning less since implanting so much technology into the schools.

You can’t block YouTube for middle school. They still don’t make good choices. Executive control is still not well developed. Sucks that PE of all things requires them to watch YouTube videos and because of that they get addicted to YouTube.

Also lightspeed is broken. It says paused till next morning and it actually only pauses it till 11:59pm.

I did reach out to FCPS but no response.

No point pausing at home. You could just take away the laptop. What I can’t believe is that YouTube is allowed!! I was speaking to some other moms abd it’s crazy how much surfing occurs in school. And vaping and cheating
