Dating a man wearing a cat shirt

huh?
he sounds interesting

Why?

That would make me laugh so hard and want to at least talk to him. If he asked, I would go on one date and see how things go from there!

Gross massive red flag.

As a Female who loves Felines this would be a huge plus in my book! 😹

Good luck then, OP. He sounds adorable.

We need more details on the shirt—photo or link please. I think this is a strong “it depends if he could pull it off.”

I gave DH a funny shirt like this along with other nice gifts for Father’s Day.
He actually loves it and wears it around. He hopes people get that it’s funny, don’t take his shirt choice too seriously.
Is it like that?

He wears other nice shirts the rest of the time right?

I can't find an exact match (new horrible thought: what of it's custom) but this is the closest vibe:

There was only one large photorealistic fish rodeo cat on his torso, and there was no rainbow vomit but the rest of the shirt was a galaxy rainbow print. This was OLD so he doesn't know my last name (re: Japanese)

And it was a goldfish, maybe koi, not a shark. Vital information

It’s super sad you don’t appreciate this treasure. Pass him on to the rest.

Look, we weren't there and don't know the general vibe. If this was part of a general ick thing, trust your gut. No one else can tell you how to react to something. I can see some ironic or quirk working as part of an overall laid backness, but I can also see it as being part of a vibe that's sort of aggressively quirky that comes across as try hard or troll-y. But not being there I couldn't judge where it was.
