My plantar fascitis/pronation is ruining my life

Physical therapy with dry needling cured mine when nothing else mentioned above was enough.

I went to a podiatrist and got custom orthotic inserts, pt prescribed and advice on shoes. Seconding all the folks who say don’t go barefoot. Stretching and pt exercises are key. It took a while to resolve and I had to give up my Rothy’s and cute flat shoes. I mostly wear acsics or sometimes dansko for dressier. Birkenstocks are also good.

Go to road runner’s store and get an evaluation to see what shoes work best. They will have you walk on the treadmill to see what works best for you.

Shoes are a partial and temporary fix. See a physical therapist.

Don’t get a cortisone shot! That can ruin your foot. Look it up.

Wearing shoes with insoles ALL of the time helped me.

Wearing Birks around the house solved mine when nothing else would.

Getting ONE shot is not going to ruin your foot.

I wore only Hokas and Oofas for fours years. Now I have a few other pairs of shoes I can wear

See a foot and ankle specialist. Get custom orthotics. Physical therapy.

Do not ever go barefoot.

Maybe get a steroid pack to calm the inflation down and fix what you wear on your feet.

Always stretch gently before any physical activity.

If it’s that bad-get to a doctor. My insoles were custom made and covered 80 pct by insurance.
