If you have a college freshman - are they sick right now?

The good news is that by the time your kid is a junior, you’ll hear about it after the fact- ‘oh, I had a cold last week, still stuffy but getting over it’ and it won’t seem as big a deal. As a mom, all you can do is pack those meds when they go off to school, encourage them to get rest and door dash chicken noodle soup.

I only know my kids are sick because they call me asking what meds they should buy.

But they know how to function and how to get themselves to student health or urgent care without needing to ask me.

Yes, I have two and they both have cold viruses. Fortunately neither of them drinks so they're not risking secondary infections

No one wants to hear it but we’ve done a number on kids (and adults) letting everyone catch Covid over and over - it def affects the body’s ability to then fight off other stuff.

It is normal. Close quarters, less sleep than normal, not always the best eating habits, kissing, etc. I did in fact always have a cold.
