Uber rating 4.79 - ugh

Checked mine 4.95 but was 4.98 the other day. So not sure the dip but I’m a primary care doctor so I tend to listen a lot to the drivers and give advice. Ask them about their lives etc.

I just checked and I’m a 4.78. I always tip at least 20 percent and I’m quiet. Maybe it’s because I once took an uber to an airport with cranky kids.

I got reprimand message from Uber for not wearing a mask. I always wore one if the driver had one on and sometimes when they didn't. So I'm not sure what happened but it hurt my rating.

Taxi? Your hilarious. I tried calling a taxi and twice they never came to pick me up. Uber crippled them.

Wait, is THIS why it took forever to find a driver to take me from upper NW to Reagan on a sunny Friday at 2 pm (“hold on — we’re looking for a driver near you!”) ?

And then the first driver bailed out last minute and we had to start the search over for a new driver? And I had to wait 8 minutes?

And then — when they finally committed the quoted cost was $51 (it was ~$42 a couple of months ago). ????

I assume I have a lowest rating because I don’t always tip if the driver sucks

My understanding is that it’s also the distance. The incentives are stacked against long drives like upper NW to DCA.

Yes! I used it abroad and there was a pickup mixup and now my rating is 4.6 and I basically only use lyft in the states.

I always tip except the one time the driver was missing the exit then swerved and cut off another driver to get to the exit, nearly causing an accident
