Do you let contractors use your bathroom? How about No. 2?

From Wikipedia about OP and their multiple poop threads:

Coprophilia (from Greek κόπρος, kópros 'excrement' and φιλία, philía 'liking, fondness'), also called scatophilia or scat (Greek: σκατά, skatá 'feces'),[1] is the paraphilia involving sexual arousal and pleasure from feces.[2][3]

But why the link to male contractors in OP’s house?

No good deed goes unpunished.

And pooping on company time is always a no-no and a fireable offense if it is not due to sickness.

Agreed! OP, you sound ridiculous.

For a major renovation -- e.g. total gut job of a kitchen or adding on a room -- I would spring for porta-potty. For a two week job in a suburban area near commercial businesses with bathrooms available? Nope.

It may shock you to know that I don't invite the guys who mow my lawn every week to come inside and use the bathroom either. But apparently you all would favor that.

In any case, I do appreciate the replies, even if I admittedly hoped that more people would side with me on this one. Spouse wanted to deny the use of our bathroom altogether, so I guess I assumed my more moderate position was the norm.

Take comfort, OP, that you are slightly less horrible than your spouse. Congrats, I guess? But at least you've demonstrated that water seeks its own level.

And yes, if one of the landscapers who works on our house knocked on the door and asked to use our bathroom, of course I'd left them. WT actual F?

Many people have IBD's and still hold down jobs and even blue collar jobs. They definitely need a bathroom when it is time for #2.

I guess if OP wants to ban them from using it for #2 OP could have a haz mat situation on her hands and loose stool all over the floor of her house.

On few occasions over the first three days of the project one worker or another has asked to come inside to use the bathroom.

Somewhat grudgingly, I let them do so. On the latest occasion, however, the worker took a big dump! For me, that crossed a line. If the roles were reversed, I guess I would ask to use the bathroom and hope the homeowner said yes, so I didn't have to drive to McDonald's or something. But if I knew I had to go No. 2, I would absent myself from the work site for 15-20 minutes and go do my business in a public bathroom (there is a McDonald's about a 5-minute drive from here).

If you were the homeowner, how would you handle this? I could specify to the crew foreman that a quick whiz is OK but anything more than that, the crew member should go find another spot to take a dump.

Or I could say nothing, I guess, and just wait for the project to be over.

I think it's too late to revert to a "no using our bathroom" policy, but I wish I had laid down that marker in the first place, in retrospect.

How many threads on this, OP? Why so interested in other people’s (men’s) poop?

Likely I already destroyed the can with a massive #2 so don’t care if they want to wallow in my scent and try to compete.

I cannot imagine workers being rude enough to ask to use the restroom.

They usually go the local gas station for that and to get drinks or lunch.

YES! Of course! Don't YOU poop at work?

They should bring their own portable bathroom like most other workers do.
I wonder why they do not.

I think it is just gross to let workers use my personal bathroom - - whether they go no.# 1 or 2.
Plus it is unprofessional.

I get that nature calls.
But they should plan ahead.

Btw >> just wondering…..how did you know someone did a no.#2??
Did they clog up the toilet??

I agree with you 100% on this OP.

I wouldn’t want strangers (especially men who tend to be less tidy) using my bathroom.
Yuck!

It is very apparent that you and your gross spouse have never put in an honest day's work in your lives. You two are vile.

Are you mad? Of course you can relieve yourself while working. I think there are actually laws protecting this.

Why "grudgingly"? They are people. They have toilets where they live. Why on earth would anyone not let the workmen at their house use a toilet?

I ask contractors whether they need to drop a deuce and if they do, I tell them to go elsewhere.
