You're kidding right?

Hybla Valley is nasty.

As if any of the DMV is so great. I love the way Bethesda snobs (who live 2 minutes from slums, albeit a different name or zip code) pretend they live in freakin Palm Springs.

A local real estate YouTuber who is pretty well known recently did a segment on this area and said when filming on the side of the street near a hotel she had 3-4 John's try to pick her up because they assumed she was a prostitute. This is a 50 YO lady...

Also this was at 1pm on a weekday, so make of that what you will... doesn't sound like somewhere I want to live though

Too. Much. White. Yuck
And no landscaping. Needs shade and trees.

Yes, the builder must be pretty cheap. There are easy, inexpensive m ways to boost curb appeal, but they didn’t bother. Couldn’t even throw in a premium/better garage door. Penny wise, pound foolish.

$1.9 million is about right. They totally mispriced it.

Agreed. I live in the area, love it for a multitude of reasons, and would choose it over many more dcum-popular areas - but this particular house is wildly overpriced.

I'd spend 500k less for a river view and likely a better quality of build: https://www.redfin.com/VA/Alexandria/7824-Southdown-Rd-22308/home/9818430

Based on Google street view, it’s not really a “river view.” And not sure the quality of build is better — Fairfax code requirements have vastly improved since 2002. But agree with your overall point.
