Screens in private schools

Congressional, Flint Hill, Potomac, and SSSAS websites all indicate they are using Ed Tech in elementary school grades. One is using iPads, another is using Chromebooks, but all indicate they rely on Ed Tech in elementary grades.

I would be grateful if parents at these schools in elementary grades comment on how the Ed Tech is used, in which school, and in which grade(s) is it used for what?

Our Catholic 6-12 has no computers in class unless it is CS class, an accommodation, or they are being used for a specific one-off reason (and then they are handed out, you don't have to have your own). They do have an online platform for managing homework and grades though, so a lot of homework and all long papers are done on line. Tests are in bluebooks, quizzes by hand. Feels like a good balance for the ages. No phone policy too.

Congressional used to have iPads for 3rd and 4th that stayed in the classrooms, but that changed with the pandemic, when they expanded take-home Chromebooks (which had been only for 5th-8th, in the middle school) to lower grades as part of moving to virtual instruction. I’m not sure exactly what they do now.
