How dirty is your house? Vacuuming takes me less than 5 minutes.

Wow how tiny is your home? Vacuuming just my main floor takes ~10-15m, plus if you move furniture it takes longer. Then add stairs, upstairs, bedrooms, etc. Maybe you don't do it very thoroughly?

DP but that's what I would venture to say too. Vacuuming in less than 5 min means nothing was picked up basically.

This is why people need to hire professionals. Most of you don't know how to clean your homes.

To answer OP, I have a townhouse and cleaning all three floors it's definitely a workout. My HR is up, I'm sweating, I'm running up and down the stairs. I'm exhausted at the end. Not sure why people think only sweating at the gym qualifies.

You also need to wear special clothes for exercise to count.

With apologies to Jeff Foxworthy: "If you think housework qualifies as exercise, you might be a redneck."

haha.
That was back when any woman over 160lbs was considered comically huge, like Rosie ODonnell or Woopie.

If I do real serious deep cleaning it definitely can feel like a workout. It doesn’t replace my workout though.
