I exercise every morning so start the day in athleisure. I have an intense wfh schedule so sometimes after the gym, I have to dive right into work and suddenly it’s 8 pm and I haven’t had a chance to shower change or pee. So those days I am in athleisure all day. Other days, I like to put on a super fun outfit like frou frou dress because I own a great wardrobe and I might as well wear it. I tend not to wear tight fitting pants because I’ve finally figured out that I have interstitial cystitis and tight pants around the crotch are directly correlated to severe and painful symptoms. I guess that’s been the case my whole life but I’m just figuring it out now. I love clothes but have been avoiding pants more and more, and honestly leggings are the best for this issue, but I am trying to not slide into fully athleisure all the time. Again, because I have a pretty great wardrobe and clothes make me happy.
Weekends I wear whatever depending on what we’re doing - athleisure i end up doing work around the house all day after the gym. Nice clothes if we go out. The one constant is every night after work, I convert to “lounge” clothes where dh and I have cocktails together. Ranges from 1960s midcentury house dresses, to la Perla silk slip dresses, to tap shorts and chemise, to floral matching sets. I wear those for 2 hours every night and then shift to a proper sleeping outfit - pajamas or nightgown. Never old tee. Sleep and cocktail hour are both sacred and deserve the proper attire! |
| 49, shorts or sweatpants and t-shirts. |

Republicans are bringing back 1950's where women will not be wearing pants at home or sleeping in the same bed as their husbands.

Yep, it's glorious. When I stay with other people and have to be dressed all day long, it's annoying and makes me a little cranky. |
Same here. 52 yo, cotton leggings and t-shirt, sweats, socks no shoes. I reserve jeans for outside. I will change into sports leggings or jeans when I walk the dog (usually for about a hour). I will change when I come back in. I do have seasonal allergy so I have been trying to keep outside cloth in the mud room and wear “home” cloth when I am working from hone. I do have fancy cloth but for home I want to be super comfy. |
I love everything about this other than the interstitial cystitis. I’m so very sorry, PP. It’s encouraging that you feel well enough to do this. |
| I only dress nicely when I go out on errands or whatever. I'm a SAHM who takes the dog out on multiple walks every day. In between that I'm usually cleaning a bathroom and definitely the kitchen most every day. I'm not wearing nice clothes to scrub a shower. So it's usually shorts/track pants and a tee or sweatshirt. Sometimes I have to change clothes several times a day because of all the various activities. When I'm done for the day, I put my robe on and cook dinner in it. No shame. |
| I WFH when I am not traveling for work and have a lot of zoom calls so am dressed in decent tops/jewelry every day. I prefer to have a semi coordinating outfit so typically will wear decent pants or nice jeans or a casual skirt on the bottom (rather than athleisure). I will change to exercise/walk at the end of the work day but usually put some version of decent clothes back on for dinner. |
| Mid 40s. At home, I'm usually in athleisure or cotton skirt & soft tee. I work in-person at the office and am very happy to change into comfy clothes when I get home every evening. |

Mid 40s. In summer, joggers and a cashmere tshirt or tank, in winter, joggers and a cashmere long sleeve/dolman sleeve. I never wear these clothes out in public though, only at home and sometimes to walk the dog in the evening. I only wear lounge wear when I first get up and see the children off to school and then around 3pm when I'm done for the day (take a nap before the kids get home). If we go out to dinner I'll get changed for that of course.
I always wear a bit of light makeup (even to pilates/barre) and get my hair highlighted/toned/cut (whatever it needs) every 3-4 months. I prefer a clear gloss manicure and then a color pedicure. Simple earrings, either diamond studs, pearl studs, gold hoops or inside-out diamond hoops. |

I work in a slightly more casual than business casual office, so basically the same thing that I wore to work. Jeans or khakis and a sweater usually.
I only have one wardrobe, besides a few grubby things to do house chores in. |
| Shorts and t-shirt/tank top or leggings and t-shirt depending on the season. I never wear a bra at home but I keep a sweatshirt handy to throw on if someone unexpectedly stops by. |

Athleisure Co ord sets Jeans and a Tshirt |
+1 Tiki wear would be great for cocktail hour

| Casual (summer shorts and ts, winter leggings and sweaters). However, by 7:30 the bra is off no matter what I wear. |
