Concern about neighbors entering my yard while searching for lost dog?

Anonymous
That is really rude that your neighbors entered your yard multiple times and that they actually looked into your windows!

Especially looking inside your house!!?
I would not call the police on them but I would let them know that in the future I would prefer if they did not look inside my windows.

Since these are your neighbors + you have to live around them, I wouldn’t want to be rude about it even though I would be miffed about it.
I don’t see why they would have the right to peer inside your home if they were searching for a lost dog…..!

I would have asked them to get off the property via the camera and if they refused to comply tell them you are calling the police. Not ok.

They were worried sick about the dog and hoped you found it but didn't know who it belonged to. They were hoping that although you weren't home, the dog may have been safely inside.

That's it.

She told them via the speaker cam that she didn’t know anything. Your explanation doesn’t match the basic facts in OP.

Ooh, tough guy.

Did they find the dog?

What exactly are you worried will happen?!

Looking in your windows seems beyond the pale - do they think you’ve stolen the dog?

IDK. But if they are entering without permission to look for their dog, I assume they are MAGAs!

No self respecting liberal would own a dog. It's a waste of resources that could go to a foreign country.

I mean I don't love the looking in the yard but that falls in the okay category. Looking in windows is weird.

We lost a cat once and everyone was very very nice about it and it made a huge difference in terms of us feeling better about the whole situation. We did find it -- thanks to a neighbor that texted at 7 am and said it was under their shed.

OK, I am extremely liberal, however, this thread is about nosy neighbors. Please leave politics out. I'm tired of finding politics in topics that have nothing to do with it

But this area is full of MAGA and we MUST expose them and their traitorous ways!

Yes, because we know that dogs who are lost and away from home will hunker down and wait to be found. They won't roam around at all.

You can't be that dumb.
