Plastic surgery - facelifts - yes or no? And where?

I’m looking here bc they do implants for rhino all the time. You can find the occasional doctor in the US who does them, but SK surgeons seem far more skilled.

Know anything about Turkey?

I’d also do my (small) home country but wouldn’t recommend it to others because you have to have a lot of cultural context to evaluate top talent.

I had a rhinoplasty in my early 20s. I did a lot of research and interviewed 10+ plastic surgeons in Toronto. I ended up going with one on the younger side who understood I wanted to still look like myself and he did a great job. 25 years later, I’ve never had any complications. He also did my mom’s facelift. I thought he made her eyes look quite different but she was very happy with his work for 20+ years. She is in her late 70s now and still looks good.

Turkey is a possibility. Your rhino was a primary. Mine would be a third revision and I need an implant. I need someone highly skilled with revisions and implants.

I don’t think you appreciate that many people look good with facelifts and that you’re thinking of the old school Joan rivers style.

A well-done deep plane is a game changer.

This.

A coworker ruined her face this summer. She’s 50 and “work” was her present to herself. She now has that MAGA look if you know what I mean.

The maga look is more about cheek and lip filler, fake eyelashes, fake boobs, and Barbie noses, not (or not only) deep plane lifts

Who did you go to in Toronto?

My siblings and parents didn’t even know, my coworker just said she was trying to figure out why I looked so cute after summer break. No more turkey neck, jowls or lower face wrinkles, I just look like myself before everything got saggy. I think fillers look bad and they can also mess up your ability to get cosmetic surgery.

Who did you go to? How are the scars?

I went to Sarmela Sunder, I really liked and trusted her. She’s on Rodeo in Beverly Hills so $$$ but it’s my face so I wasn't looking for a deal. The scars above my ears are still red so I am not tucking my hair behind my ears and I had my hair stylist cut some face framing pieces to pull out for coverage with a ponytail. (Turns out she also had a little lift a few years ago and I never knew until I told her about mine, her scars are virtually invisible.) I wear a little makeup on the scar under my chin and the ones on my eyes are hidden in the crease.
