According to the email recently sent, "We also know that travel may be a concern for some families. MCPS will provide information in the coming months about transportation options and supports to make sure all students and families are able to attend."

Meant in past years, did they have buses for those who needed it or only for staff who have to attend?

They could have kept the venue within Montgomery county, you know where MCPHS are located.

There is no comparably-sized venue in Montgomery County.

It is ONE trip to UMBC during the school year for your graduate.

It's a good venue where each graduate can have many more tix, there's no rain/raindate/heat concern, it's wheelchair accessible, and there's plenty of easy parking.

We've been there for one kid's graduation, and don't mind going back for the younger kids.

We used to graduate from Constitution Hall. What happened to that?

You do realize that there are more health and other issues beyond just wheelchair accessibility.

Can parents petition for a change? UMBC makes zero sense. Why would we drive all the way out to Baltimore?

It's Catonsville. It's not in the city.

The change to UmBc was made a few years ago. Some smaller schools still went to DAR in DC and last year one or two of the larger schools were at UMD College Park.

They should have given choice for smaller has to hold on their school fields. They could probably do everyone's on the home fields if they split graduating class and hold two ceremonies if graduating class is too large to have only one ceremony

Good lord people. Check Google Maps and see the difference between commuting to DAR or UMBC. You might be surprised that it's the same or faster to get to UMBC.
