New to FCPS, school not responding

Or alternatively you visited the fcps website found the personal documents you should bring downloaded and completed any forms and walked in and said I’d like to register my child

And they said oh hey sure we can help you or oh hey sorry glad you have everything but you need to schedule an appointment but we can help you

People be like “this people suck” which is more like code for someone didn’t meet my needs right now and that’s unacceptable to me!

I repeat the question: What did you need and were any of those people working? If it’s a counselor question they just got back.

I work in FCPS and have 2 kids attending. I guess based on these posts, I've been incredibly lucky. The registrars at the schools I've worked in have been very nice. My kids' school is super responsive. I had an issue this summer and got a call back within a day.

FCPS staff gets treated differently than the general population parents. You and your kids have a totally different experience versus the rest of us.

FWIW, I always had good response--but, except for an emergency, I would not expect instant response.

Certainly, most people realize that July is the time many school personnel take vacation. I'm guessing that some schools have no staff some days in July. Administrators will be there next week, I am sure-though there are probably meetings for them. But, clerical staff should be at the schools.

July was the slowest month, when most people take their vacations. You should have a better response now that it’s August. FWIW, I called earlier this month about a tech issue and someone contacted me within a day or two.
