Blond to cover gray?

I do ash blown highlights to mix in my frets with brown hair. I don’t want golden tones at all

I have brown hair that is going grey. I like the lighter color of gray so, a few years ago, I started highlighting (foils) and she adds blue (gray) gloss. As my hair grows in w more grey it needs to be done less and less. I love it but it takes someone who is not afraid to go heavy on the cool (gray/blue) highlights to keep it from looking frosted. Cool tones are in now. I no longer live in the dc area and it can be hard to find someone who’s not afraid to go heavy on the cool/grey gloss.

No they won’t. You need to lift out the color and adding a strong blue gloss will keep away brassy tone and make cool tones compatible w the natural gray.
