Not the pp, but I haven’t eaten a fast food bucket of anything in years.
That said, I have multiple medical diagnoses and prescriptions that make dropping weight more difficult. I’m not saying I’m morbidly obese, but I’m not as small as I used to be. And none of these conditions were brought on by poor health/lifestyle, just bad freaking luck. And, unfortunately, I am currently battling a pretty nasty depression that keeps me from being very active. I am trying to work my way back to that, but it will take time. Right now, getting out of bed and interacting with other humans is a win. Don’t assume everyone who isn’t thin is overindulging. Or that people who aren’t active are just lazy. You have no idea what people might be facing. |
Don't pretend like JLH looks "great". She looks herself. What does great even mean? All bodies are different. Natalie Portman is the same age and a mom of 2 and has a vastly different body. But saying someone looks great in this situation is an empty compliment. |
Or fit. Or asian. Or Scandinavian Or a healthy eater ... |
Only fat people think this is true. It's just an excuse to stay fat. "Women aged 40-49 were about 25½ pounds heavier on average in 2002 compared with 1960." https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/04news/americans.htm |
JLH looks awful. Out of shape and overweight. There, I said it. |
DP: And telling someone they look great when they know they’re overweight and unhappy about iit is a terrible thing to say. Oh, you look great! The person knows you don’t mean it. |
hahaha first of all JLH is slightly overweight and does look great. Second of all, you know she is unhappy about how she looks? GTFOH |
Fellow big time depression sufferer and I just want to encourage you that daily exercise will help in multiple ways. It's not easy, but it's heavily beneficial. |
Most people who are overweight are not happy about it. Get real. And no one likes to hear the condescending “what a beautiful smile” or “you look so good” when they feel like a fricking blimp. |
But who in this scenario is feeling like a blimp? We are talking about JLH. No one should be condescending or patronizing, but it's possible to feel and look good if you aren't stick skinny. Stop projecting your mental illness onto everyone. |
She is standing oddly in those pictures, I don't know why? Does she know she's getting her pics taken and this is the best angle? If so, it's so weird. elbows straight out and legs crossed, hands tucking in her waist. If this is the case, she knows she's overweight and trying to minimize damage. |
They're literally all small, very short too. Many people would be surprized to see how short their favorite actors are. |
I don't have an opinion on Jennifer Love Hewitt's size but I know she is deeply troubled by her looks based on her social media presence. She has filtered herself to the point of looking like an alien for years. No one as beautiful as she is would go to the lengths she does to alter themselves unless they had deep-rooted discomfort and insecurity with their image. |
How about just commenting on the people’s appearances to them period. |
We can definitely agree on that. |
