My DS did a similar search when he was 8 and when I confronted said the device was hacked.
So the devices went away until we could make sure they were not hacked.
A few weeks later he fessed up and we had a conversation.

You’re letting a 7 year old surf YouTube unsupervised. This is your fault.

Maybe focus on how those women are someone's mommy and aunt and sister, and how would he feel if someone was looking at me that way?

You're making a huge jump that it was sexual. You're going to confuse him.

I mean, he was searching for "most beautiful woman on earth no shirt no pants no braw (sic)," so it's not NOT sexual.

YouTube has practically no nudity. So I doubt he actually found what he wanted.

DP but why the eye roll? 7 year olds do not need devices. Seriously just put in some ear plugs, take away devices, and let him figure out how to entertain himself.

Seven feels really young for this.

Are you a repressed household? This doesn’t feel normal.

Because they feel judged.
My kids have a dumb TV, a DVD collection, and Game Boys. They have never had tablets. They can use the family computer in public areas of the house if they want to research something. 10 years and they are fine, get good grades, not stunted.

Also - I've uninstalled YouTube from our Chromecast, but does anyone know how I can keep him from reinstalling it?

Be glad he's interested in older women, and not searching for girls his own age online.

Also, he was searching for girls on Youtube? Don't they have a non-nudity requirement for videos?
