Israel is preventing "any misfortune which comes their way" by neutralizing Palestinian terror. So that won't be a problem. Annexing the West Bank is a means towards that end. No terror, no settlements. Sufficient settlements, no terror. Refusing the first option leads to the second option.

Israel investigated itself in the matter and found there was no crime comitted.

When in the US, the person is an American citizen. When in the West Bank, they are Palestinian. Dual citizenship comes with costs as well as benefits.

Hm. Did you share this same sentiment for the young Israeli American killed by Hamas. His parents spoke at the Democratic convention.

Don’t be an ass. All of these senseless deaths are sad. The Israelis have been given large platforms to share their grief. That won’t happen with this American.

There are lots of senseless deaths in Africa, Asia, and South America as well bit we hear little about it. I'm tired of hearing about the attention seeking middle eastern losers who keep killing each other. They need to figure out how to love.

We focus on the countries that benefit us. We still need too much oil. That the sad part

Certainly neutralised the six kids waiting for water. “Eyewitnesses said a drone fired a missile at a crowd queuing with empty jerry cans next to a water tanker in al-Nuseirat refugee camp.”

So what's the root cause? Oct. 7 ring any bells? Release the hostages, surrender. Simple.

You do not realize but the “Oct 7” wild card expired a long ago!

“Settlers”? The use of this term makes light of their illegal presence and the death and damage they cause. This is not their land. The more accurate term is colonizer terrorists.

10/7 expired as an excuse or justification approx. 20 months ago.

But based on your tough guy talk, you only know one language anyway - and that language is immoral brutality.

The universe being what it is, thankfully, you’ll undoubtedly find yourself with a healthy serving soon enough.

Isn’t Hamas still holding American citizens hostage in Gaza?

Of course the NYT doesn't call him an American in their headline. The BBC did.

Oct 7 has not "expired". Hamas is still holding hostages, and tries periodically to capture more. You want the retaliation to stop? Better talk to Hamas about that.

The West Bank was lost by Jordan as a result of the 6-Day War. Jordan had annexed it in 1950, after the end of the British Mandate. The 6-Day War was precipitated by Egypt, which mobilized on Israel's border, expelled U.N. peacekeepers, moved troops into the Sinai desert, and blockaded the port of Eilat. Jordan had been warned to stay out of the war, and lost the West Bank as a result. Egypt lost the Gaza Strip.

To the victors go the spoils. Don't pick fights with your neighbors. Israel now owns the land it captured, it is Israeli land, Palestinians have no further claim to it, if they ever did.
