Baby 1: head down, unmedicated vaginal
Baby 2: head down, unmedicated vaginal Baby 3: breech, did ECV complete surgical spinal, didn't feel a thing. Got induced at 41.2 weeks, unmedicated vaginal Baby 4: transverse, opted for scheduled c-section at 39 weeks. |
Reading all of these painful ECV stories. My MD does a complete spinal so if something happens, you're ready for a crash c section. Literally felt nada. |
Remember that for every person that the ECV did or did not work is the person whose baby died from it.
My very science-based OBGyn had that advice. So I never considered a version. Good thing, definitely hugh chance it would have resulted in the death of #3. C-section protected him from the knots in his cord compressing. |
How do you push with a complete spinal? |
There are plenty that are breech due to cord issues. |
I had two ECVs, as both my babies were breech. Both were successful. The first was about 10 seconds and completely painless. They offered an epidural for the second but I was cocky from my easy past procedure. It was agonizing. But it worked, and I had an easy vaginal delivery.
Wishing you luck! |
