Anecdotally, mine got hers at 13.5, and it's been regular since the beginning. She's 15 and still growing. Has grown about 1.75 inches.
+1 My daughter has scoliosis, which requires regular measuring, X-rays, and 18 hours of brace wearing. She got her period 1.5 years ago. Has grown .5” since then and her last appointment indicated her growth plates were close, but not fully done. She has one more check up and after that she’ll be 2 years from her first period and she will be discharged. The ortho said growing is pretty much done by then.
My dd has scoliosis and also wore a back brace and had measuring and x-rays to monitor her growth. Her ortho told her she was just about finished growing, would grow maybe another 1/4”, so he’d have her back for another appointment in 6 months. She grew 3/4” in that time, so he said now she was done growing and to come back in another 6 months. She’d grown another 1/4”, but he felt confident she was done growing. She’s grew another 1/4”. She grew for about 3 years after getting her period shortly before her 12th birthday. She has ADHD and is on stimulants, so that may have delayed her growth a bit. Her sister, who isn’t on stimulants, also grew for more than 2 years after getting her period, but got her period just before her 11th birthday. Both of my kids had huge growth spurts before getting their periods, though.
