How much did your DD grow after period

Title says it all. DD just got her period. Has never had a big growth spurt and is about 5 inches shorter than expected adult height based on parental height.

One of mine didn’t have any growth spurts, just slowly grew and ended up 5’2”. My other daughter had the usual spurts before her period started 3 months ago and she’s 5’7”. I hope that’s it.

How old? I think girls who are younger when they start their periods are more likely to continue growing.

My DD only grew an inch after, but was almost 15 when she started her period.

I don’t have any scientific evidence, but maybe with girls getting their periods earlier these days they are still continuing to grow more afterward than was typical in previous decades? My 12yo DD has several friends who have gotten their periods but also never had the big growth spurt beforehand and are only around 5 feet tall right now. All have moms who are between 5’5”-5’8” and dads who are 5’10”+. I can’t imagine they are all truly done growing at 5 feet.

My DD is 5’2” and has not gotten her period but I feel like it’s close, and I am 5’7” so I can’t imagine she is close to done growing.

Nothing at all for either of my girls. They got their period at 13 and 13.5.

Mine grew another 2-3 inches, over 3 yrs following start of period. Got it at 12

They're not expected to grow a lot, a couple of inches at most.

And it's actually quite common for girls to be shorter than BOTH their parents.

I meant to add that she’s shorter than me but that her dad’s side is short so that makes sense. She had her big growth spurt from 12-13 and then got her period around 13.5.

1 inch, but she got her period towards the end of her puberty trajectory (she was fully developed) at 13 and a few months. Some of the younger girls I know who got it at 11/12 gained a couple inches after.

But my daughter is 2 inches or so shorter than the calculators consistently said she would be. My other daughter is looking to be the same. Height is weird like that - I’m 5’8 and have no business being this tall based on my parents average height lol.
