These posts drive me NUTS.

Bro... the subject makes the content plain. You're complicit in your own crazymaking.

DP- what does the OP want to hear? The scientific name of the virus? As stated before literally all viruses are treated the same. Rest, liquids, pain relievers, and if needed cough suppressant.

If you can't be helpful, you can be quiet. You don't have to be nasty. You really don't. Someone is sick, and this is the help they're seeking. You don't have to provide it; if you're not interested in the topic, scroll by.

The fact that every time someone posts this thread some AH comes on with comments like yours is its own pathology. Just go MYOB.

Exactly. Knowing that someone else has similar symptoms changes nothing in the care. Rest and hydrate.

NP who came on here looking for this exact thread because my 15 y.o. is on day 4 of something miserable.

For the slow ones in the back of the room — the point of these posts is to crowd-source potential diagnoses and recovery expectations. These threads help us understand, for example, whether others in the area with the same symptoms have been diagnosed with something specific and we should go to the DR or whether to wait it out because it passes quickly.

As with any other thread, if this isn’t useful for you or you don’t understand the conversation, move on.

I didn’t realize these harmless questions trigger some folks. Good lord.

+1. I'm on day 8 of this crap and trying to decide if it's worth it to go to Urgent Care.

The answer is always the same: go see a doctor or use the generic treatments for sickness (rest, liquids, etc).

No one here can help these people. They waste everyone's time.

What was posted is actually helpful. What more would be helpful than that?

That's ridiculous because everyone's immune system is different. Because your kid's cold lasted 10 days doesn't mean Granny's will too.

Complete opposite for me. I have both a weakened immune system and autoimmune diseases. I received 4 COVID shots. I have been sick 2 times since 2021. I used to get colds/viruses at least 4 times a year.

Yes, dear. And you posting this dreck is also no help and a waste of time. That's the point you don't seem to be taking...

Imagine being this smug mfer, thinking you've got all the answers and looking down your nose at strangers.

What a clown!
