I just came down with pneumonia - a week of nonstop coughing. |
I am almost 60 years old and have pink eye. WFT? I don't think I had COVID recently. What's going around? |
What were your symptoms other than nonstop coughing? And what did you end up taking? |
I’ve had a headache for a week. That’s my only symptom. |
It was really weird. The first week I had body aches, chills and fatigue. Bloodwork was negative for everything. Then second week I started coughing. First few days it was dry, then I started coughing up phlegm and I was really fatigued. No fever. Went to urgent care, got chest x-ray. First they put me on doxycycline, and then amoxycillin as well. Only thing that stops the coughing at night is Tylenol with codeine. The fatigue from pneumonia is no joke. Will be down with this for a couple of weeks. |
These posts drive me NUTS. |
Pink eye is most likely to be bacterial, from getting poop in your eye. Like someone farted on your pillow. |
Or you are around kids |
Most of the rapid Covid tests aren't working so well with the new variant. |
Can strep cause a wheezing cough? |

+1. Tis the season for summer colds. Does it really matter which virus it is as long as the symptoms are manageable? |
DP- what does the OP want to hear? The scientific name of the virus? As stated before literally all viruses are treated the same. Rest, liquids, pain relievers, and if needed cough suppressant. |
Yes it escalated into allergy asthma. I went back and no pneumonia but given Zpac and prednisone. Wheezing finally stopped. |
PP MD said it may have been in conjunction with something bacterial but no pneumonia on chest X-ray 1 week prior |
