Because there is little confidence in Nissan right now.

The new Rivians will make the current Teslas look like crap. It's worth waiting til 2026 to see the new options.

Nissan has always been a vehicle for lower-income people.

Wait for Rivian R2. The headlights will grow on you.

How about Polestar?

If you don’t mind the Chinese government tracking you.

Polestar 3 is made in South Carolina.

With 0% Chinese content?

No Apple Carplay for Riviian, which is a non-starter for many people.

You don't need it, the software is great enough. Somehow all those Tesla people get by without CarPlay too.

i dont have a answer to your question but i wanted to take a moment to say thank you for avoiding teslas. in this political turmoil, words have become drowned out by lies and propaganda, so your actions not to buy a tesla are really speaking louder than words.

+1

Rivian software is great.

Love our R1S and can’t wait to see the new models. Might get a second.

It’s a great car. Most call it a Mach E since we all know it’s not a real sports car like a traditional dinosaur juice powered Mustang. (Although one could argue there haven’t been any real mustangs once they added a rear seat decades ago.)

My Nissan Altima was amazing back in the day. Sad to hear that it's not a reliable brand. I would have gone to them first for EV for sure.

When did things go south for Nissan?
My 2012 Nissan Quest is still going strong - yeah, it's beat up by kids inside and out (first by riding, then by driving), but no serious mechanical issues so far

They are struggling financially - like immense, possible end of company type struggles. There were talks of merging with Honda but that fell apart. Infiniti is hardly even relevant anymore.
