OP - Could it have been how you presented the wine? Did you say something like "Hey, I brought home a bottle of wine from my trip. Let's open it and have a glass." or something more like "I missed you so I brought home this special bottle of wine so we could share <trip location> together blah blah blah."

No, I don't think that it's totally selfish, but perhaps it's not just about the wine, KWIM? If you feel that your husband isn't considerate, doesn't value you, etc. I could see you feeling sad about what you yourself admitted was a trivial matter. If he's otherwise an all around great guy, you should just let this pass.
