What pizza for kids birthday?

I used Pete's New Haven. The parents definitely ate (a lot). I think it's only fair to offer decent food to parents shlepping all weekend to birthday parties and games/recitals. And then once those little kids are grown, they like good pizza too. Leftovers can always be frozen for snack times.

a kids who is 8 or younger really doesn’t care. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised that the fancier the pizza the less kids will want to eat it simply because it doesn’t look like what they are used to. So then you sent the kids home hungry from a party because of your obsession with being known as the family that served expensive pizza at their kids birthday party.

This only works on the assumption all these kids are from homes where the pizza they are "used to" is Costco and Domino's. I don’t think that universally holds. I don’t know if my own kids have had that pizza at parties (maybe? Don't know, don’t care) but they're definitely familiar with the Mamma Lucia, Pete's, Andy's etc suggested above. I question kids would go home starving if anything but bottom of barrel food was served.

Samesies! My little darling is such a foodie that he demanded we fly in Neapolitan pizza directly from Naples! I said “none of this independent Italian restaurant garbage for my little sweetie!” So we brought in some margarita, funghi, Quattro formaggi, and some pizza bianca. Oh the roasted garlic on the pizza Bianca really made his 9th birthday extra special.

For his 15th, we tried to have a brick oven pizza built. But the tile artisan from Impruneta sadly passed away and we scrapped the whole project because we are FOODIES afterall.

seriously the amount of elitists on this thread is ridiculous. I don’t care who you are-everyone loves a pizza hut deep dish. You are crazy to spend over $20 a pizza for a kids birthday party. Having adult friends over for a get together-sure splurge for the good stuff. Most of the fancy places don’t even deliver. Why make this hard on yourself?

From whatever place delivers and is close enough to party location, so that it arrives nice and hot.

Order 3/4 cheese and 1/4 of the order pepperoni, or all cheese. Most eat cheese but some kids also eat pepperoni.
