I don't think you have to pay but we gave $5 to a guy who was there, giving him our phones and he knew the right angles to get a good shot. A small thing, but I really love those pictures.

You definitely don't have to pay. You are lucky to have gotten your phone back.

Vegas gets a lot of hate but in recent years it's amazing in family activities. Google them. Outside if that, go see Cirque and enjoy lux meals. They will blow your mind. Off strip the food is actually very good. Outdoor stuff is good - it's beautiful and within vicinity for day trips.

DH used to go annually before kids and we just haven't gotten around to it but will prob next yr with our teens. It's a really good place for younger set as it's an entertainment focused city.

Pinball Hall of Fame is great. The staff there are grade A lunatics, but its fun.

Echoing the recommendations for Meow Wolf's Omega Mart and the Pinball Hall of Fame.

My family also really enjoyed the Neon Boneyard - it's a little tour of old neon signs followed by a light show after. You'll want to go at night.
