Las Vegas w/kids

Anonymous
Have you ever done Vegas with kids before? If so where did you stay and what activities did you do?

Vegas is not for kids

If you must find a great pool Mandolay Bay and do Hoover dam.

There is nothing in Vegas for kids besides drunks.

And not in the summer it’s too hot,

Discovery Children's Museum is terrific.

Don’t listen to this fool. We did Vegas with our kids (8 and 14) over Spring Break and they loved it. We stayed at Mandalay Bay and they have a great outdoor pool area that we hung out at on the afternoons. My oldest loved the Sphere, and walking around the strip. His mind was blown when we walked past the front of the Venetian. My youngest loved the aquarium and riding the skytrain. In between we went go karting and hit up the buffet at the Wynn. We arrived in Vegas after visiting the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam and the entire trip was awesome, but my kids are only asking about when do we go back to Vegas.

The Pinball Hall of Fame is fun. Also recommend Springs Preserve.

Yes, loved it. Stayed at a few different places on the strip. We went a few times as a tag along to a work trip.

The Sphere
Ice skating on top of a hotel (yes we went over winter break)
Ny Ny rollercoaster
Day trip to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon
Fountain show
Walk through the different hotels (like The animals at The Flamingo)
The scene was not a bunch of belligerent drunks

Hoover Dam
Valley of Fire state park (maybe not during summer)
Neon museum
Raising Cains (13- year old picked this)
NY NY coaster
Comedy show
Pool day
Bellagio fountains.

OP, are you asking because you want to find a trip for your kids, or are you asking because you want to take your kids with you on a trip you want to do?

What are your kids ages?

Las Vegas is AWESOME for kids. Lots of fabulous ideas already posted. Add on the Variety Show and the Blue Man group.

Op here: I went for a networking event and stayed at the Aria. My son who is 9 FaceTimes me asking to see the surroundings. I went out onto the strip where dolce and gabana /gucci sign was and he was mesmerized by the lights.

I saw many families going in and out of the aria hotel but didn’t see obvious children oriented places. Rainforest cafe maybe? Also the aria was a little smokey in the casino area and I would not pick that place as kid friendly. So I was wondering where people stayed and what activities they did when kids came to Vegas.

Las Vegas is a great home base for family-friendly things AROUND Vegas. That is why our family stays there. Pick a hotel that doesn't have a casino (we always stay at the Grand Chateau), walk down to the Bellagio Fountains, and then go! Springs Preserve, Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire State Park, and Death Valley. You sleep in your hotel at night and see the awesome neon lights from your window. This is what works for us. Have fun!
