The supreme court voted in favor of the Trump admin to allow the end of TPS for Cubans, Haitians and Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans. About 530,000 people.

TPS: TEMPORARY Protected Status.

TEMPORARY, adjective; lasting for only a limited period of time; not permanent.

That is fine, if the emergencies that enabled them to be here has been lifted. They haven't.

In the meantime, there are entire towns that depend on these people to keep businesses running and society progressing. Ripping them out will shut these places down. How is that helpful to anyone?

They will carry on just like they did before these people we allowed to enter.

Biden (or whoever was acting as president) totally abused the migrant parole process. It is supposed to be used in a case by case basis but instead he allowed mass parole Quinn vetting.

The Biden administration really set these migrants up for a rug pull - without telling them.

They were so desperate to artificially deflate Border Patrol illegal crossing numbers that they began using executive parole authority to allow 1.4 million to come in via these CHNV flights and the CBP One app - welcoming these migrants in and urging them to use these programs as they weren't counted in Border Patrol data.

What they never told the migrants is that same executive authority could be used by another president, in this case, Trump, to immediately revoke and terminate the humanitarian parole grants Biden gave.

In this case with CHNV, that's more than 530,000 migrants who thought they were being welcomed in/coming in legally, who are now on the plate for deportation with legal status and work permits evaporated.

Melugin is such a dishonest hack. This was Trump's proactive decision. These losers can't even own their decision; these are not "real men".

Trying blame a "Biden rug pull" is just pathetic.

The gov will order their ITINs be deactivated, which means they cannot apply to any legal, above-board jobs. They'll then order banks to freeze and close their accounts.

What a hit the economy will take when 530,000 fewer people are here spending and paying taxes. Because yes, those with TPS were issued ITINs (like a SSNs) so that they could work legally and pay taxes legally. They contributed millions into the SSA system even though they were never going to be able to benefit from social security once retiring.

“WHO WILL PICK THE COTTON?!?!” Democrats in 1864

WHO IS GOING TO PICK MY ORGANIC NONGMO STRAWBERRIES?!?! Democrats in 2025.

Well, considering the fact that Democrats are wealthier and more educated and gainfully employed than Republicans, the answer to your second question is: poor, white Republicans. Who is going to lose their limbs in factories with lowered safety standards? Poor, white Republicans. Who is going to work for little pay in factories? Poor, white Republicans. Because the Republicans are also the ones adding those pesky work requirements for Medicaid and guess who makes a majority of Medicaid recipients? Poor, white Republicans.

96m people in the US are on Medicaid.
43% of those are white people.
Only 28% of those are Hispanic.

They will just apply for asylum and add 500,000 more to that backlog.

Sounds you support exploiting cheap undocumented labor?

This talking point is a dead end other than trying to flex income levels of college educated people.

Dems aren’t for normal everyday people? I guess most already knew this.

Oh no! what will people do with their slaves!

Pay people decent wages and provide good quality health insurance for employees?

Nooooooo! This is not my America!

Honestly, this is all fear from mediocre white people that can’t compete. They can’t get into Harvard because international students are more qualified. They can’t get jobs because they aren’t good enough and don’t work hard enough. So, instead of competing, they try to blame it on the process. It’s DEI. It’s scary brown people. Those people are illegal.

These people in the country illegally come to work, hard, and they know the deal. They send their kids to school. The kids work hard. They own businesses or enter professions. They leave the lazy people behind.

So, now the lazy mediocre folks have a new god, a god of mediocrity. He’s going to replace those evil hard workers with fellow mid white folks. The administration has been doing it all along. Now Trump is here to get back at Harvard for turning him away in favor of more qualified people.

Seems like the last stand of a bunch of losers that got together and voted to protect the losers club.

Do you believe the white people are inherently lazy and bad workers?

I don’t think so. They don’t work like that because they aren’t hungry enough and they don’t have to. Either because they are rich, or because they are poor and live in low COL areas and get by on food stamps, odd jobs, and relatives. They also aren’t worried about being deported or losing their status if they get fired. That doesn’t mean they are lazy.

They used to be. Working class people want to own guns and don’t want their daughters competing against boys for scholarships, so dems have to import the 3rd world to use as their slaves.

Poor, non-english speaking immigrants will do anything not to be sent back. Their communist/fascist/socialist home countries stripped gun rights from their citizens decades ago.

They will be good little servants for leftists, who despise cutting their own lawns or caring for their own children.

That is so sweet, only to want brown people to be paid slave wages and lose limbs. What a big ole softy you are!

And I know math is hard, but considering that whites are 75% of the population and Hispanics are about 20%, you may want to check out what a "proportion" or "ratio" is. Maybe ask a wise friend or your husband.

Well, I guess Americans need to get to work. There’s several midwest factories that employ 30% or more TPS holders, per The WSJ. I mean they’ll be sh!tty jobs once MAGA busts the unions, but we’ve got to pollute the environment somehow and make money for those billionaire MAGA.

The darker ones will be violently apprehended and deported to Libya or El Salvador. I wonder how places like Springfield, OH will survive?

We cannot keep depending on poor people fleeing their poverty and war torn countries for cheap labor.

Is that the American dream? Come to America and work menial jobs for minimum wage and live in a slum.

The point is, as the daughter of immigrants who became millionaires, is that when you've only known poverty, you have a hunger to do well. You are grateful for any work. You will pretty much do whatever it takes and work in the US is typically better than elsewhere. But if you have always had it pretty good in this country, you want to pick and choose what you'll do and there isn't the ambition and drive to push you to work hard and start at the bottom. Now that's not applicable for everyone but it is very often the case.

If you truly want to let immigrants go, Americans will have to rise to do some of that hard labor which is just really hard to find. Immigrants are driven in a way Americans are not.

LOL, love it! A condescending idiot. Dems have tried to improve conditions for workers, no matter their skin color. MAGA hates brown people AND workplace protections. Maybe you should read project 2025.
