Multi-Sibling Discount

Why would anyone expect a company to subsidize their choice to have a lot of kids and put them in expensive hobbies? So ridiculously entitled.

OP again... not from the DC area and would never throw a fit...

Almost all clubs offer some type of financial assistance when needed. I see that as a good thing. I think multi-sibling discounts fall under that umbrella.

No way. Subsidizing someone's large family is very different from financial aid for poor kids.

This, 100% this. Your multiple kids are each taking a space on the roster, each developing from time from the coach, each playing on the rented fields. Need help because your HOI is poverty rate, sure. Want help because you have so many kids and it's expensive, no way.

I think its tacky as hell to ask, if you aren't poor.

What about military, senior, child, disabled etc. discounts? Is it tacky to ask for those if you aren't poor?

I think the purpose of the multi-sibling discount is to offer opportunities for children from large families to participate. They may not come from a poor family (though they could), but they may come from a family that can afford 1 or 2 children playing, but not 3, 4, or 5. Sure, those children don't have to play, but the point of the discount is to offer opportunities for them if they would like to.
