Is the name Elon going to hurt the university?

It won’t work.
In order to appeal to a certain group, you’d first have to define it. And quite honestly—Dems have lost the plot in deciding that the terms “men”/“women” have no objective definitions anymore.

I would reject the school over this. They clearly have idiots running the joint.

No the cult of mags stupids is mind boggling

We live in the US you voted for a king to be installed of all the dumbest things ever. Like the constitution is not something, you literally voted against your own freedoms and to be taxed to hell and against fiscal responsibility moron.

And by the way idiot fourth term is not a thing.

And FOX losing $786 in a payout to Dominion says it is a cult of stupidity I’m a court of law you know hand in the Bible kind of way idiot,

I don’t think it will impact the decisions of people that already know about the school.

But schools like Elon depend a lot on new potential students who don’t know anything about the school deciding to research it further and consider it. I can totally imagine a student who has never heard of Elon looking at an email from Elon and thinking “Elon, like musk…delete” and not looking into the school any further.

No dems lost he plot because republicans voted as traitors against the Constitution

Gerrymandering as well Dems suck at that republicans are great at it and their dumb voters time and time again vote for guys like Jim Jordan or McConnell who have brought home zero to their states. Republicans are the party of MTG and Boebert one has to be super ignorant to have voted for either of them
And yet they did twice. Republicans want their lives miserable and to be subjects where they don’t have to use their brain cells and love to pay taxes to a king

Get wiz having a king with unilateral decisions making is the most unamerican shit which the cult of stupidity has declared gods will.

+100
It really is something to behold, isn’t it?

Apparently more than just one of them is “sharp as a tack.”

It’s ranked 121 by USNWR, the name coinciding with Musk will have 0 impact on anyone with a brain.

This may seem petty but are your rising seniors taking Duke off the list because of the actual N*z1 named David Duke who has helped drive this country off a cliff?

DC is a rising junior and we are starting to look at schools, and I just can't imagine looking there.

Exactly! and when his crimes come to light and his name is mentioned in history books, the school will not want that association.
Hopefully an alumni steps up, donates some money, and renames the school.

In a sea of ridiculous threads, this one is in my top 10. If people can't look past an unrelated name, the school probably wouldn't want your idiocy anyway.

Well...the Chevrolet Nova did not sell well in Spanish seeking countries so, yes, there is a possibility that many will forego considering Elon University due to its name.

Embarrassing that they would lean in to such stupidity

You must not understand the viewpoints of 99.9% of AO’s.

Red state.

It’s not on the list in the first place.

When you google Elon, the first thing that comes up is Musk, not the university.

I get op’s point. My family in New England had never heard of Elon U even though it’s a great school.

That is an uncalled for response and very rude. Maybe you think your kid is too good for Elon, but many kids are very happy there
