microdosing GLPs?

I’m looking to lose between 10 and 15 pounds. I also do not want to have to take something for the rest of my life. I’m 45, have been under an unbelievable amount of stress, gained 10 pounds especially around my mid section which is super unusual and I don’t have the time to exercise or the mental energy to consistently watch what I eat so I’m going this route. FYI, I’m going against the advice of my GP. However, she is a slightly chubby 37 year-old who honestly I don’t think understands the effects of perimenopause or how your body really changes once you hit 40.

I think gaining weight around your midsection at age 45 is 100% typical?

What do you mean you are the Midi poster? I am trying to learn more

I can’t imagine using a drug to lose 10-15 pounds.

Then you have never been 20 to 15 lbs overweight. It feels like 50 lbs and sucks. Also, each person is different

Exactly. Why don’t people get this, and same with the Dr who pop referenced. If your Dr is 20 1bs overweight they probably also don’t see the issue. If you were always 110 or 120 and you are 20 lbs heavier that is a lot. Why do drs and people on here think you must be 50 lbs or more to be taken seriously and supported. At 20 lbs, our gps should be all over us so we don’t keep gaining.

Good for you. Work on it while it’s doable at 10-15. When it gets to 40, 50, 60 so much harder.

Thanks, PP! I am the poster that you reference and quick update. I started a Zepbound on Sunday and have lost 7 pounds. Because I gain and lose weight everywhere the weight loss does not look dramatic but I’m starting to feel like my old self again, and I have more energy And my clothes fit better. I am going to stay on the same dose for another week then start to taper down and and plan on only being on this for a total 4 to 6 weeks. Ideally, I’d like to lose about 10 more pounds. We will see how it goes and I will report back in a week. As I stated before, it’s been a very mentally challenging a few months for myself and my family and the zip bound really has stopped the “”food noise that everyone talks about which is giving me a mental break. I am also hoping that this will help me develop habits to eat better.

You lost 7lbs in 5 days? That’s a lot u less you have like 100 to lose.

It really is a lot but again while I feel more like myself it is not in any way dramatic. I have been very surprised. Who knows how much of it is water weight, etc. I’m also increased my exercise. My appetite has been very suppressed and I feel full hours after I’ve eaten a small meal. I’m really hoping that this changes my relationship with food and how I eat. I do not like the idea of being on this for more than a month or a month and a half.

And in total I have about 15 to 20 pounds loose.

I microdosed tirzepatide and have lost 15 pounds. I don’t feel better on it but do appreciate how it is the only thing that ever has helped me shed these pounds. I started at half starting dose, and now am at starting dose and plan to start going down or spacing out. I lift 5 times a week and eat a lot of protein so this has been a slow but successful process where I have lost fat not muscle. Good luck. I went through my GP.
