| What is considered micro dosing? |
| I am not really sure. But it seems to be oral drops instead of injections. |
| [i] I don't have any answerrs for you, but I'm curious about this as well and am going to ask about it at my annual physical next month. I would love to try GLP-1s but do not want to have to take it for the rest of my life but also fear gaining the weight back and then some, which is what I have heard is very common. |
| I am the Midi poster and I am going to start Microdosing soon. They told me that I should be on it for a year but should be able to get off of it pretty easily. I’m looking to lose between 10 and 15 pounds. I also do not want to have to take something for the rest of my life. I’m 45, have been under an unbelievable amount of stress, gained 10 pounds especially around my mid section which is super unusual and I don’t have the time to exercise or the mental energy to consistently watch what I eat so I’m going this route. FYI, I’m going against the advice of my GP. However, she is a slightly chubby 37 year-old who honestly I don’t think understands the effects of perimenopause or how your body really changes once you hit 40. |
| Meant 30 something. And I’m not judging her for having a regular or slightly heavier physique just thought if she is content with a larger than average frame, she may not have an appreciation for my concerns. |
Of course you are judging her frame that’s why you are raising it. But it’s okay, because I am judging you for your bad choices. |
| PP but I don't think your chubby comment was judgmental. To me, it implied that the doctor doesn't see the issue with HER OWN body (rightly so) but that might prevent her from understanding how much impact PP's relative weight gain is to PP's body and self-esteem. |
Thank you yes that’s what I was getting at. And to the other pp, judge away but know that you are making assumptions about me and my circumstances-son just diagnosed with a brutal syndrome, I started a new job, partner lost theirs and is having a mental health crisis and suffered a a brain injury that now prevents them from driving, Meanwhile, I have one pair of pants I can fit into. Going the ozempic route is for mental health and my wallet. Can’t afford new work cloths I’m in the office everyday fyi. Even when I was running 30 miles a week there was weight that would not come off. Do t have the time or energy for that kind of exercise now |
Saying the doctor can’t see the issue with her own body means there is an issue with the doctor’s body. Of course you are judging. I’m sorry you are havjng hard but I have no idea why you think it means you are not judging your doctor or males microdosing for vanity weight ok. |
I can’t imagine using a drug to lose 10-15 pounds. |
Then you have never been 20 to 15 lbs overweight. It feels like 50 lbs and sucks. Also, each person is different |
That's just taking it in a different form. That has nothing to do with microdosing. |
|
I don't think microdosing is being used correctly here.
GLP-1s begin at small amount and then increase over a couple of months. The final dosage can go up 8x as much as the starting dose. These meds were approved for people with a substantial amount of weight to use and/or for diabetes so those doses apply more to those type of people. For people like myself using them to lose a smaller amount of weight like 20 lbs, some people just stay at the lowest dose. That's what I've done and had really good success although I'm not sure what will happen when/if I stop completely. I believe that's how it's being used here but that is just staying at the lowest dose. |

This is what I wish to do. Haven’t met with my doctor yet.
Because I have mostly good willpower already. Just not enough to beat the weight. I also do not need to lose fast. I’m short, 40, and it would be fine to lose at a snail’s pace. As long as I actually lose (not like right now). |
