^^ this. Comes in multiple sizes, colors, etc. Also matching chairs, and you can get a variety of colors. We bought during covid, when you could get gray or beige on demand (literally the same week) but different colors took up to 3 months.

We are also looking at Radley and were told by the salesperson that even now certain colors can be delivered within 10 days.

Room & Board is the best

Sundays movie night sofa is very highly rated on Wirecutter and other sites. Also recommended if you have pets and kids.

There is a Restoration Hardware Outlet in Rockville with tons of sectionals on display.

My york is trash. Broke in 6 months and back pillows mush down to a ball of sh--. Just forget PB.

Same experience here with a room and board couch. I will never buy them again - really cheap crap.

IKEA
Get one with slipcovers, washable and you can change things up

Down shouldn't leak feathers.

If you are getting feathers pushing out, tgen you have feathers, not down.

Down rarely if ever leaks.

+1

Ten years in with Ektorps (now named something else, I think) and they've held up great.

Are they made in China?

IKEA’s selection has really crapped out now and prices have gone up.

Plus the toxins in the material are not a good thing.

IKEA products have to meet European chemical standards. Generally, they have fewer toxins than US items.

Here is more detail:

They are less expensive but not necessarily more toxic.

We bought a couch there in 2013 that I ended up never sitting on it was so bad. Wish we'd never bought it and just bought a nicer one to begin with. We replaced it with a Crate and Barrel that worked well for about 10 years but now needs to be replaced.

+1 - found our chaise couch there after 3 visits on the weekend. We’ve had it for 7 years so far and looks a day old at most. Has worn well with a giant dog and kids.

In the outlet, is it just older models that are priced down or are there minor imperfections?

It is mostly returns - could have been because someone didn't like it or could've been because there's something wrong with it. But typically will take several visits if you are looking for a particular piece but the savings are worth it.

Follow the Instagram for the C&B Outlet in Alexandria - they frequently post photos and live tours of what's in the store.
