| I love Wesley Hall. Try Greenfront. Better quality than Belfort. |
Np. I see these on sale for $799. They don't look good and recent reviews are meh.. |
In the outlet, is it just older models that are priced down or are there minor imperfections? |
| Which model PB couches are trash and which are good? Same question regarding choice of fabric. |
| Last year I bought one couch from Crate & Barrel and one from Calligaris. The Calligaris one is 1/3 more expensive but 10 times better. It is rock solid, much heavier, stuffed with feather but does not sag. |

| We bought a Natuzzi sofa 21 years ago and it's still gorgeous. Prices are not bad, especially when you factor in longevity. |
| We have had our Macy's Radley couch for 20 yrs and are about to buy a second one for another room. |
| I’m still obsessed w/ my 14 yr old Ethan Allen couch that we use every single day. It cost a fortune but has stood the test of time. I’m planning to get another when we’re ready to replace. Curious why you won’t consider another, OP? |
| About 10 years ago, we purchased a York sectional from room and board and it has held up amazingly well. I can’t remember exactly what we paid for it, but it felt like a lot. Prior to that I had a crate and barrel sofa, a white slipcovered one, that also really was comfortable and stood up well. |
My york is trash. Broke in 6 months and back pillows mush down to a ball of sh--. Just forget PB. |

OP I think you want to focus less on the retail store and make sure your sofa is made in North Carolina, with a hardwood frame. Then your cushion design and fill choices, and the fabric, will make a huge difference in terms of durability. A performance fabric with foam cushions and a tight back is going to look the same in five years, but it might not be that comfy. But comfy down fill? Or detached back cushions if you have pets like mine who will sit on them? You’ll be fixing them constantly. It’s a trade off.
If you get a durable, cheap, comfortable sofa that is the wrong scale for your room or has a very different silhouette than the chair you love, you’re going to hate it. So I think it’s a mistake to copy a particular model because it worked for someone else. Figure out the length, depth, seat height, back height and arm height you need for your room. Then go looking. |
Interesting-- we've heard freat things about the Metro. And, R&B has excellent customer service so I would think you could go to them and ask for an exchange. |
It is mostly returns - could have been because someone didn't like it or could've been because there's something wrong with it. But typically will take several visits if you are looking for a particular piece but the savings are worth it. |
