This said, they are getting burner phones just in case and not their regular ones.

What are they hiding? What would they even have on their phone that would be a red flag? I don't really get it.

For not being supportive of Trump.

I know Hasan Piker, who was detained upon returning to the US, is a wildly popular left-wing streamer and Trump critic. He's also a US-born citizen.

There's another story circulating of a young woman, also a US-born citizen, being detained who has an Anti-Trump clothing. She claims she was targeted because of that and that the questions she was asked pertained to her opinions on Trump and her loyalty to him. She said the way they worded the questions made her believe they'd flagged her social media. She has Global Entry, too.

We are African American and traveling as a family to UK, Belgium and France for 3 weeks. I have not thought of these issues as my Father travels abroad throughout Asia, Africa and the Middle East and has had zero problems ever and my mom is a White French Canadian. I do not have a side politically or one social media post regarding anything politic so never thought I would have anything to fear. Maybe people are too paranoid? I also never watch the news and generally do not connect much outside my bubble.
