I wonder how many of these numbers account for TVs in waiting rooms, lol. No, but seriously, I asked my aunt, who has worked in various doctors offices her entire life, why waiting rooms always had Fox News playing and she said it was because pro-Fox News people complain and cause a scene if CNN or any other kind of news program is on, but those who are anti-Fox News don't do the same when they are in a waiting room with Fox on the TV. I asked why not just put it on something neutral like HGTV or Food Network and she said they go with news programs because they have lots of scrolling words to read about the stories and big text for headlines, so people stay engaged. TV shows, even with captions on, don't have the flashy text to keep those waiting entertained. They ask for the volume to be turned up or complain about the closed captioning blocking the picture. And you know what? Thinking about the demographics of the Fox News lovers...yeah, I can see that. I can see them being the complainers if fake news CNN was on. |

And this is what I think is the biggest cause of the downfall of the US. There is absolutely no way to get through to these people, no way to provide another side of the story. 50 years ago we all read and watched the same news. We were able to draw our own conclusions from it. Now we just consume news that preaches to the choir...and that news is telling the choir that every other outlet is fake news. Argh!! |

Bud, I don't know if you know this or not, but OLD PEOPLE DECLINE. They decline in overall health and mental health. You're full of sh!t if you think Trump hasn't declined since his first term. Did I want Biden as my president in 2020? Fk no! He was too old then, but he was all we had. If my choice is eating a sh!t sandwich (Trump) or a sardine sandwich (Biden), I'm choking down the sardines. That's what I and so many others did: we picked the lesser bad of the two bad. It's just a shame that more people couldn't pick someone with boobs & a vag to be president in 2024 instead of ye old yam tits. And did I want Harris? No! But again, between Harris and Trump, I picked the lesser evil, Harris. What the Right doesn't understand is that just because we voted for someone, it doesn't meant we're ride-or-die for them. We're not out here tattooing Biden's face or name on our bodies. We don't repaint our cars with BIDEN and add stickers of his face to every window. When Biden tripped, did we all go around tripping in support? Hell no, but a lot of y'all sure did go around wearing trash bags and Always pads on your ears. Um...this might have something to do with Trump's conduct (before, during and after his term) for which he was investigated and prosecuted. A better question to ask might be "How many times did CNN talk about Bush during Obama's terms" or "How many times did CNN talk about Obama during Trump's term?" |

I've literally been in the same room with Fox News and MSNBC loyal viewers discussing politics. Talk about a head spinning amount of ignorance. Mix in a few happy hour cocktails and it becomes an ugly mess of BS quickly. One group has their half truth and the other has their half truth. The sad and weird thing about this is that most of them were younger than me. It isn't just the baby boomer generation watching garbage entertainment "news" during the evenings. There are Gen-X and Millennials who have fallen into the trap as well. |
