I wonder how many of these numbers account for TVs in waiting rooms, lol. No, but seriously, I asked my aunt, who has worked in various doctors offices her entire life, why waiting rooms always had Fox News playing and she said it was because pro-Fox News people complain and cause a scene if CNN or any other kind of news program is on, but those who are anti-Fox News don't do the same when they are in a waiting room with Fox on the TV.

I asked why not just put it on something neutral like HGTV or Food Network and she said they go with news programs because they have lots of scrolling words to read about the stories and big text for headlines, so people stay engaged. TV shows, even with captions on, don't have the flashy text to keep those waiting entertained. They ask for the volume to be turned up or complain about the closed captioning blocking the picture.

And you know what? Thinking about the demographics of the Fox News lovers...yeah, I can see that. I can see them being the complainers if fake news CNN was on. [/quote]
