Palestinians are starving to death - WWJD?

Not as costly as what Gaza did to the humans of Israel. Don't see how they recover from Oct 7 and the subsequent horrors (ie dancing on the coffins of babies).

50,000 dead Palestinians.

Many of whom would still be alive if Hamas would prioritize the lives of its people over killing Jews.

As for what would Jesus do...are we talking about the turn-the-other-cheek Jesus or the flip-the-tables Jesus?

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/19/world/africa/sudan-usaid-famine.html
The children died one after the other. Twelve acutely malnourished infants living in one corner of Sudan’s war-ravaged capital, Khartoum.

Abdo, an 18-month-old boy, had been rushed to a clinic by his mother as he was dying. His ribs protruded from his withered body. The next day, a doctor laid him out on a blanket with a teddy bear motif, his eyes closed.

Like the other 11 children, Abdo starved to death in the weeks after President Trump froze all U.S. foreign assistance, said local aid workers and a doctor. American-funded soup kitchens in Sudan, including the one near Abdo’s house, had been the only lifelines for tens of thousands of people besieged by fighting.

Bombs were falling. Gunfire was everywhere. Then, as the American money dried up, hundreds of soup kitchens closed in a matter of days.

Why are you blaming the US? There are several border countries who could take these people in, and even they aren't doing so. Those countries also share the same religion (with the exception of Israel), none of which involve Christianity.

Because the USA committed funding with Congressional approval for which these organizations expected to receive food aid and essential medicines. And then because Trump, Rubio and Elon Musk decided to override Congress and cancel the aid overnight in the most unprofessional way, leaving food shipments to rot and children to starve to death, before others could try to step into the picture to help.

But enjoy your time in church. I'm sure Jesus always said---"why should I help others, when others can do it."

Jesus would day, as he said in Luke 13:3

…except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

And Deuteronomy 30:7

And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

I'm not the OP of this thread, but it seems off the rails. This was supposed to be about what would Jesus have to say. If people want to discuss the complex political issues, that belongs in a different discussion.

this should be in politics

But he loves everyone lol. No one else sees the insanity of all this?

Why can't anyone see that both sides are disgusting?

We are talking about Jews and Muslims.

Jesus doesn’t feel super relevant to this discussion to me, but I’m Jewish and never particular take what Jesus would do into consideration when I think about anything.

There are, however, Palestinian Christians, so I don’t see why some posters are acting as if everyone in Gaza must be Muslim.

The war needs to end immediately, which has been the case for a very long time. We can argue about who’s more at fault for it when innocent people are no longer starving to death and being bombed. No one in any position of authority anywhere in the region or in the governments that are allied with Israel or Hamas has clean hands at this point.

FAFO

They started the war. They committed unfathomable atrocities against kids. No sympathy.

I don’t understand this focus on Palestine. Do you think this is the only injustice happening in the world? What about the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria, Syria, and the rest of the Middle East?

And half of those dead are terrorist combatants. Of course you almost never hear anyone mention that. Furthermore the numbers are coming from Hamas, which in itself should be discounted.

They also celebrated their deaths in the streets of Gaza. That population is overwhelmingly brainwashed to hate Jews.
